(author's note: a dear friend on WF.com had the fabulous and inspired idea to write a haiku a day for the whole year. he is using the book Offerings: Buddhist Wisdom for Everyday by Danielle and Oliver Follmi to draw his inspiration from. i just had to get on that train, so i ordered the book, available at indigo.ca or amazon.com, and am writing my way to haiku nirvana. this one should have been posted yesterday...)
